Goal:
The goal of the “Arise” project is to empower 90 women and girls in the slums of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, through skill development and income-generating activities, promoting their upward mobility and economic independence.
Objectives:
- Motivate women and girls in the slums to become self-reliant.
- Develop vocational skills in 90 women and girls in domestic work, street vending, and tailoring.
- Facilitate income generation for 90 women and girls to ensure financial independence and improve their families’ livelihoods.
Target Group:
90 women and girls from the slums of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Slums of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Expected Outcomes:
- 30 women trained as domestic workers.
- 20 women and girls trained in street vending.
- 40 women and girls trained in tailoring.
- 90 women and girls enter into income-generating activities.
- Steady income for 90 families.
- Increased stability and empowerment for the families of the 90 women.
- Upward mobility for 90 underprivileged women and their families.
The “Arise” project aims to provide the skills and support needed for these women and girls to gain financial independence, improve their quality of life, and break the cycle of poverty in their communities.
